Child Dedication March 16 & 17, 2013
Children are a gift from God! As a church, we practice Child Dedication as an opportunity for parents to acknowledge their willingness and determination to raise their child as a believer in Jesus Christ and their commitment to live their lives as a role model for that child. When a child is old enough to make the decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ on their own merit, we offer Water Baptism as a public sign of a personal decision. Below you will find more information on Child Dedication. An application must be completed prior to Child Dedication.
*Main Campus- If this is your first baby dedication, you must attend a class on Sunday, March 10 at 11 am, held in the HUB. For questions, please contact Pastor Dave Shalaway.
**Pottstown Campus- If this is your first baby dedication, you must attend a class on Saturday, March 9 at 5pm, held in the Kid's Min Room. For questions, please contact Pastor Dustin.

- Why do we dedicate children?
Dedicating a child is a public acknowledgement of your commitment to care for and raise your child to be follower of Jesus Christ.
- Must I be a Christian to dedicate my child to the Lord?
Yes, since dedication of children is a Christian act of giving children to God for his glory. As a couple or single parent standing before God dedicating their child to him in a Christian church, your life should show the characteristics of Christ.
- When is the next Child Dedication?
The next Child Dedication will be held on September 25th during our 11 am service.
- Must I take a class first?
Yes. If this is the first time you are dedicating a child at Morning Star, you are required to take a Parent's Class where this subject is studied in more detail.
- When is the class being held?
Our next Child Dedication Class is being held the weekend before the next Child Dedication.
- Is there an application for Child Dedication.
Yes. Please print out the Child Dedication form and bring it to class with you or mail it to the church office. This form can be found on this page or under Resources or be completed online for your convenience.
