It is the mission of the Morning Star Preschool to provide a Christ-centered learning and developmental experience for young children together with a quality academic education.

The objective of our preschool is to provide an environment that:

  • Is safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate for effective learning.
  • Recognized and validates the child’s strengths and interests.
  • Is God centered.
  • Instills Christian character, values and beliefs.
  • Promotes educational readiness that emphasized literary skills as well as social, emotional, physical, cognitive, intellectual and creative ambitions.
  • Inspires your child to learn, create and play.

Our Admission Policy: Morning Star Preschool, a ministry of Morning Star Fellowship, admits any student without regard to race, color, national and/or ethnic origin. Students are entitled to all rights, programs and activities made available to the school.

Registration for the 2018-19 school year opens on February 18. After initial openings are filled, a waiting list is started. Please email Liz@mstar.org for details.

About our Teacher – Jill Slaymaker

Teaching preschool is Jill’s passion! For more than fifteen years she has taught preschool, serving as the lead teacher for much of that time. She has developed curriculum that fosters positive spiritual, physical, social and emotional and intellectual development in each child that she teaches. Children love her and parents are amazed at her teaching skills.

She is a licensed practical nurse and has taken many classes on early childhood education. Jill will be teaching ONE class, which will include 3-5 year olds. On Tuesday and Thursday’s the 3/4 and 4/5 Pre-K will be a part of the class. The 4/5 Pre-K class will also attend on Wednesday’s for additional class time.
